Is there anything else I can do?
If there is any suggestion of impersonation fraud, or someone now has enough information to set up accounts if your name, we strongly recommend you obtain a free copy of your credit file to see if you have any unrecognised accounts, credit cards, loans, etc.
If you’d like, you have the option to access a copy of your credit file through a company called CheckMyFile.
It’s a completely free service for the first 30 days. After that period, it costs £14.99 per month. However, if you decide to cancel the free trial within the initial 30 days, you won’t incur any charges.
If your claim is successful and upheld in your favour, this should have a positive impact and be reflected on your credit file.
